A 31-year-old man from Sunrise Beach, Christian Blackmore, has been charged with six felonies after authorities say he trafficked stolen identities. The charges include trafficking stolen identities, first-degree tampering with a vehicle, two counts of drug possession, one count of tampering with evidence, driving with a revoked license, and displaying plates on the wrong vehicle.
An extradition order was filed on Tuesday, April 22, to bring Blackmore back to Arkansas, where he is also wanted.
The probable cause statement reveals that on Sunday, April 20, Blackmore was spotted arriving at the Versailles Walmart in a vehicle. Police observed him letting a woman out of the vehicle to go into the store before he entered through a different entrance and later returned to pick her up from the main entrance. Upon investigation, officers found that the license plates on Blackmore’s vehicle did not match the registered vehicle. The Dodge Caravan he was driving was reported stolen.
During a subsequent traffic stop, authorities discovered a cache of personal documents inside the van, including birth certificates, Social Security cards, driver’s licenses, and state IDs, belonging to various individuals.
Court documents also indicate that Blackmore’s driver’s license was suspended in Arkansas and that he has connections to a white supremacist group, the New Aryan Empire, which has been linked to domestic terrorism activities.
The case continues to develop, and Blackmore remains under investigation for his involvement in identity theft and other criminal activities.
